What is CPE Options?
CPE Options is an online provider of self-study continuing professional education (CPE) for accounting and tax professionals. Our catalog covers taxes, auditing, accounting, ethics, technology, and specialized-knowledge topics across the NASBA fields of study.
Who are the courses for?
Our courses are built for CPAs, Enrolled Agents (EAs), AFSP tax preparers, and other accounting and finance professionals who need continuing education. Each course lists its field of study and credit hours so you can match it to your requirement.
What format are the courses?
Every course is online, on-demand self-study. You read the material at your own pace and complete a final exam — there are no scheduled sessions, so you can study anytime, on any device.
How do I earn CPE credit?
Study the course material, then pass the final exam with a score of 70% or higher. When you pass, your certificate of completion is generated automatically.
Do I receive a certificate of completion?
Yes. As soon as you pass the final exam you can download a certificate showing the course title, field of study, credit hours, and completion date.
How much do courses cost?
Individual courses are priced at $10 per CPE credit hour — for example, a 2-credit course is $20. We also offer an All-Access membership at $199 for 12 months of unlimited courses, plus discounted credit-hour blocks and firm pricing.
How long will I have access to a course?
Once you purchase a course it stays in your account so you can complete it and download your certificate. All-Access members have unlimited access to the full catalog for 12 months.
Will a course count toward my CPE or CE requirement?
Each course shows its NASBA field of study and CPE credit hours. Whether a specific course satisfies your requirement depends on your credential and jurisdiction, so we recommend confirming acceptance with your state board or credentialing body. Our self-study courses are developed following NASBA/AICPA self-study standards.
