CFP® CPE Requirements
30 hours of continuing education every 2-year cycle, including a required ethics course. CFP® professionals report CE to the CFP Board.
- Total hours: 30 hours per 2-year reporting period
- Ethics: 2 hours from a CFP Board-approved Ethics CE program covering the Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct
- Provider requirement: Courses should be from a CFP Board-approved CE sponsor to be accepted
- Renewal timing: CE is due with your certification renewal every two years
